We are pleased to announce that artist, Buddy Plumlee, joins us as Art Director for the Universal Flag Companies. Buddy is creating an exclusive collection of original artwork inspired by the message of the Universal Flag. He is also illustrating a series of children's books being offered through Universal Flag Publishing.

Buddy began his formal studies in Florence, Italy at Scuola Lorenzo de' Medici , where he discovered his inner passion for painting and fine art. He then earned his Master's degree in Fine Arts/Painting from the University of Iowa, where he also taught courses as a graduate assistant. His professional experience has ranged from creating scenery painting in theatre, to customized murals, to elegant faux painting finishes and individual art pieces. His painting style incorporates a variety of materials and application techniques, which truly make his art one of a kind.

Buddy considers his style to be "Organic Alter-Realism", which integrates manners of painting ranging from Neo-Surrealism to Allegorical Realism. He describes his art as "a symphony of color and form , which narrates the mystery of life". Buddy's work is inspired by his spiritual connection with Nature, which allows him to intuitively create masterful pieces that inspire symbolism and Truth. It is Buddy's intention to create eloquent pieces of art that create feelings of inner realization and spiritual awakening.
